Casual Commander Saturday
Every Saturday starting at 3pm until close we will be hosting a casual Commander day! This is not an event, but rather a gathering place to play with your friends, and new faces in our community! It gives you a chance to see how other decks work, and to give you ideas on how to improve your game play. We encourage growth of skill within our community, so it is encouraged to give tips, and possible deck ideas with each other. Talking about deck “power level” is also encouraged as this is a growing and learning environment. This event cost zero dollars to play, and we encourage trading cards so bring your binders! Store trade-ins will be bumped during this event to help you make the best decks possible within your budget! This isn’t an actual tournament, so you can come and go as you please and play as much or as little as you desire! Commander has become very popular over the last couple of years, and we are here for it!
Double Masters Release Information
Double Masters Release information Draft booster boxes are available for preorder at $300.00 Out the Door Sealed case (four draft boxes) price is $1100.00 tax included Must be paid in full on or by August 2nd, 2020 Every box purchased will receive $5.00 of in-store credit at the time of payment This price is locked on the high side, but could go down. If it does go down, and you have already paid in full, you will either be credited or refunded the difference, so buy with confidence! These prices are only guaranteed until August 2nd, after that time we will remain competitive with current market pricing There will be a predetermined amount of event promos that will be given out as a first come, first served basis. We will use our book to determine that order. Core 2021 Prerelease Announcement
Core 2021 Release information : Draft booster boxes are available to be picked up during prerelease weekend, June 26th - 28th at a cost of $105 plus tax ($112.35) and will receive all buy-a-box materials at that time Bundle packs will be able to be picked up the following weekend Friday July 3rd, at a cost of $40 plus tax ($42.80) If both a draft booster and bundle pack are prepaid and reserved by June 21st, the price of $140 for both items, tax included will be applied Sealed case (six draft boxes) price is $600 tax included Collectors Boosters will be first come, first served $235.00 Tax included Event entry cost is $25 per seat, per event Event Schedule and times are as follows: Friday June 26th 6:00pm - Sealed Saturday June 27th Noon- Sealed Saturday June 27th 6:30pm - two headed giant sealed Sunday June 28th 1:00pm - sealed Sunday June 28th 5:30pm - two headed giant sealed ( 3 round cap ) If all five events are played, a discount of $15 dollars will be issued on the last event If $50 or more is spent on ANY prepaid (Event or Sealed) product, we will issue you $5.00 store credit to spend immediately!!!
Back on Track opening plan
After careful consideration, and following our county health department and Governor Holcomb’s Back on Track plan, Gauntlet Food and Games in Angola will limitedly return to operations May 13th. We will remain open by appointment only until May 15th, at which time we will limitedly allow use of our game rooms. Our restaurant will not resume operation until June 1st, nor will any scheduled In-Store play events. We will also be running shorter hours, as follows: Monday: Closed Tuesday: Closed Wednesday Thru Sunday: Noon till 8pm All staff members will be required to wear masks, and guests are also asked to wear masks, although we will not require them, it is in the best interest of both our staff, and your community if we all do. We will also be practicing our best social distancing with our small space, only 2 people per table will be allowed to sit, and no spectating will be allowed. Dungeons & Dragons Gatherings may resume, as long as social distancing rules can be followed. Some of our community will still not feel comfortable coming into the store, and we understand. If you call the store, we can arrange Curbside pickup, Shipping, or even Contactless Delivery (Fees apply for shipping and delivery). We hope most of these new rules will keep us as safe as possible, and we sincerely hope to return to normal hours of operation as soon as possible. We love all of you, and wish you good health! COVID-19 and Gauntlet
Some major changes to Gauntlet day to day operations have taken place as we stand unified against this pandemic. First, the big tangible changes. We have moved our event area into Suite E , thus separating the restaurant and the card store 100%. Staff will be on hand at both locations to serve you. All seating is closed to restaurant users at this time, but carry out, delivery and curbside pick up are available. No events will be held over 50 people (with our small size, nothing changes there). Other changes may need to be made as the government sees fit, and we will continue to work with local authorities to keep you as safe as possible, after all, we are a community. Now for the intangibles, we have gotten rid of the tablemats temporarily, doubled up on sanitizing efforts (although we have always been extremely diligent regarding sanitation, its important to note we are being especially thorough during this crisis). Please don't stay away. Our sales have slumped almost 80% as of right now. We can fulfill deck lists, and mail product it need be, even delivery within 8 miles of the store for a small fee. Many small businesses will fail during this trying time, and although I'm sure we will make it through, please support us, and all small businesses...as I always say, Vote with your wallet.
